Yogurt Strawberry Mold recipe

An dreamily delicious pink salad mold madewith fresh strawberries, dairy whipping cream, yogurt and strawberrygelatin.

Recipe: Yogurt StrawberryMold

2 cups fresh strawberries
1 (3-ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped

  • Wash, hull and drain strawberries. Pur e1 cup of strawberries in blender container. Slice remaining berriesand set aside.
  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  • Stir in pur ed berries, yogurt,cold water and vanilla extract. Chill until partially set (consistencyof unbeaten egg whites).
  • Beat with electric mixer on high speeduntil light and fluffy.
  • Fold in sliced strawberries.
  • Pour into lightly oiled 4 cup mold orsix individual serving dishes. Chill until set.
  • Unmold gelatin. Whip cream and garnishtop of salad.

    Makes 6 servings.

    Although it s not super warm, we just broke out the popsicle molds last week. I m excited to try out this recipe on the boys- especially since we happen to have all the ingredients on hand! And what a fun idea to use traditional popsicle sticks instead of the plastic inserts. Thanks!
