Chocolate brownies studded with creamychunks of white chocolate.
Recipe: White Chocolate ChunkBrownies
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, brokenin pieces6 tablespoons butter2/3 cup all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup granulated sugar2 large eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract5 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).Butter 8-inch square baking pan; and set aside.
Stir chocolate and butter in medium saucepanover low heat until meltedand smooth. Cool to room temperature.
Combine flour, baking powder and saltin small bowl. Beat 1 cup sugar, eggsand vanilla extract in medium bowl until mixtureis very thick, about 3 minutes. Stir in melted chocolatemixture, then flour mixture.Stir in coarsely chopped white chocolate.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bakebrownies for 25 to 30 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted into center comes outwith moist crumbs attached. Cool brownieson a rack.
Makes 1 dozen brownies.
