Chewy drop cookies laced with white chocolatechips and pecans.
Recipe: White Chocolate andPecan Cookies
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup butter1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 cup granulated sugar1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar1 large egg1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 cup coarsely chopped white chocolate1/3 cup chopped pecans
In large bowl beat sugar and butter togetheruntil fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla;mixing well.
Sift together the flour, salt, and bakingpowder; add to the creamed mixture,stirring until just mixed. Add white chocolateand nuts, stirring until just mixed.
Spoon dough out onto a ungreased cookiesheet.
Bake at 375°F(190°C) for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until goldenbrown on the bottom. Allowto cool slightly on the cookie sheet before removing to wire rack to finish cooling.
Makes 2 dozen.
