White Chip Island Cookies.

Recipe: White Chip IslandCookies

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 (12-ounce) package (2 cups) NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE®Premier White Morsels
1 cup flaked coconut, toasted, if desired
3/4 cup macadamia nuts or walnuts, chopped

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking sodaand salt in small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulatedsugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beatin egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels, coconutand nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 11 minutes or until edgesare lightly browned.
  • Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; removeto wire racks to cool completely.

    Makes 3 dozen.
