Bars:1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter – divideduse
1 1/2 cups (about 45 wafers) vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract or 1 tablespoon green cremede menthe
Green food color (optional)
Chocolate Drizzle:1 cup semisweet chocolate chips1 1/2 teaspoons vegetable shortening
