Vineyard Punch recipe

This adult punch is a great addition toa appetizer buffet or to have for a holiday party.

Recipe: Vineyard Punch

1 (750-ml.) bottle port wine
2 (16-ounce) packages unsweeted frozen strawberries, slightlythawed
1 sprig fresh mint
Granulated sugar to taste
Lime slices
Ice mold
2 (750-ml.) bottles dry sparkling wine
Dash of bitters

  • Combine first three ingredients with sugarand lime slices in large saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heatand simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Straininto large bowl. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour.
  • Pour over ice mold in punch bowl. Addsparkling wine and bitters. Serve immediately in wine glasses.

    Makes about 20 (1/2 cup) servings.
