Vegan Mayonnaise Substitute – Egg and Dairy Free recipe

Many vegetarians prefer to stay away fromanimal products altogether, this mayonnaise substitute will help.

Recipe: Vegan MayonnaiseSubstitute – Egg and Dairy Free

1/2 cup of soy milk
1/4 teaspoon mustard
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
Dash of salt
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
6 teaspoons of vegetable oil

  • Combine the soy milk, mustard, lemon juice,salt, and paprika in a blender. Use a low setting and do notover mix. Slowly add the oil, one drop at a time. This will causethe mixture to thicken. Once all the ingredients have been added,mix until a smooth texture is achieved. As with regular mayonnaise,keep it refrigerated.

    Makes about 3/4 cup.

    One very messy kitchen and a couple failed attempts later and I had myself a successful creation and delicious lunch! The bonus is that the mayonnaise ended up being vegan, too, so this would be great if you’re vegan and looking to make a tofu or soy protein salad sandwich.
