Tomato-Pepper Chili Sauce recipe

Peppers and garlic give this sauce realpunch to top off chicken, steak or pork. Great as a taco sauce,too.

Recipe: Tomato-Pepper ChiliSauce

1 pound tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped
2 cups coarsely chopped red or yellow onions
1 large green pepper, coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeño pepper
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 to 4 tablespoons Equal® Spoonful™

  • Heat all ingredients, except Equal®Spoonful™ , to boiling in large saucepan; reduce heat tolow and simmer, uncovered, until mixture is a thick sauce consistency,about 20 minutes.
  • Cool; stir in Equal® Spoonful™. Serve sauce with grilled chicken, steaks, chops – also greatwith tacos!

    Makes 2 cups.
