Tex Mex CranberrySalsa recipe

Traditional Tex-Mex flavors add a spicykick to cranberry sauce! This colorful, festive “salsa”goes well with an assortment of foods, from tortilla chips toassorted meats…including the holiday bird!

Recipe: Tex Mex CranberrySalsa

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 (12-ounce) package Ocean Spray® Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
2 tablespoons chopped canned jalapeno peppers
1 teaspoon dried cilantro
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 green onion, white and green parts, sliced
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

  • Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan.Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cranberries; return toa boil. Gently boil cranberries for 10 minutes without stirring.Pour into a medium glass mixing bowl. Gently stir in remainingingredients.
  • Place a piece of plastic wrap directlyon salsa. Cool at room temperature and refrigerate. Best if servedat room temperature.

    Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
