When enchilada recipes call for salsa verde, make it homemade! Tomatillos and jalapeno peppers lend the distinctive green color , which is balanced by a pinch of sugar. Love the flavors of skillet-roasted veggies? Get your fix with this corn-based salsa, which starts with corn, peppers, and garlic roasted atop your oven. This salsa is tastiest served warm.
