Recipe: Swirled SurpriseCookies
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour1/3 cup quick oats1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup packed brown sugar3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened1/2 cup granulated sugar2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 large eggs1 2/3 cups (10 ounce package) NESTL ®TOLL HOUSE® SWIRLED Milk Chocolate & Caramel Morsels- divided use1/2 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE®Milk Chocolate Morsels
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine flour, oats, baking soda and saltin medium bowl. Beat brown sugar, butter, granulated sugar andvanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, oneat a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat inflour mixture. Stir in 3/4 cup morsels. Cover; refrigerate for30 minutes or until firm.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and placeon ungreased baking sheets. If dough balls become warm, refrigerateuntil firm.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until sidesare set. Press 1/2-inch deep and quarter-size wide pockets intocenters of cookies with back of small spoon. Fill pockets withremaining morsels while cookies are still warm. Remove to wireracks to cool completely.
Place milk chocolate morsels in small,heavy-duty plastic bag. Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) powerfor 30 seconds; knead to mix. Microwave at additional 10-secondintervals, kneading until smooth. Cut a small hole in cornerof bag; squeeze to drizzle over cookies.
Makes 54 (4 1/2 dozen) cookies.
