Sweet & Spicy Cheeseburger Nachos recipe

Sweet & Spicy Cheeseburger Nachos.

A tantalizing flavor twist on ‘loaded nachos’with its sweet and spicy ground beef topping.

Recipe: Sweet & SpicyCheeseburger Nachos

1 pound lean ground beef2 teapoons minced garlic1 (23-ounce) jar of salsa con queso2 tablespoons finely chopped jalapeñopepper1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce1 (12-ounce) bottle Heinz® Chili Sauce1 (14-ounce) can Ocean Spray® JelliedCranberry Sauce2 (8 to 11-ounce) bags tortilla chips1/2 cup sliced green onions

  • In a large saucepan over medium high heat,cook beef and garlic for 6 to 8 minutes, or until cooked through,stirring frequently. Drain fat if needed. Reduce heat to medium,and stir in salsa con queso, jalapeño, red pepper flakesand hot pepper sauce. Cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, oruntil heated through, stirring frequently.
  • Meanwhile, combine Cranberry Sauce andChili Sauce in a medium saucepan over medium heat, and simmeruntil smooth, about 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • To serve, arrange tortilla chips on plates.Spoon cheese mixture on top of tortillas and drizzle with cranberrymixture. Sprinkle onions on top and serve immediately.

    Serves 6.

    Tip: If desired, add additional toppingssuch as sliced black olives, chopped onions or chopped tomatoes.

    I too, enjoy a nice glass of merlot or red zin from time to time, but much prefer a refreshing glass of not-too-sweet white. Adding fresh or frozen fruit is the summertime icing on the white wine cake! They look delicious! Will you share your best places for nachos? It s hard to get the hubby to try new places without some sort of proof of something delicious, and nachos are one of our favorites as well!
