Sweet Chili Sauce recipe

This classic Asian-style sweet chili sauceis excellent with fried, grilled and roasted meats and poultry.

Recipe: Sweet Chili Sauce

Juice of 1 fresh lime
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 teaspoons finely minced fresh ginger
1 tablespoon minced green onions (green part only)

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepanand bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 8minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperaturebefore using. Refrigerate any unused portions.

    Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
