Supreme Rice Cereal Bars.

These yummy, no-bake chocolate and peanutbutter cereal bars are sure to become a family favorite. Recipeby Grace R. Swenson of Clermont, Iowa.

Recipe: Supreme Rice CerealBars

2 1/2 cups chunky peanut butter – divideduse1 cup light corn syrup1 cup packed brown sugar4 cups crisp rice cereal1/2 cup butter, softened1/3 cup milk1/2 of a (3.3-ounce) package instant vanillapudding mix4 cups sifted powdered sugar1 3/4 cups (11.5 ounce) NESTL ®TOLL HOUSE® Milk Chocolate Morsels

  • Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll bakingpan.
  • Heat 2 cups peanut butter, corn syrupand brown sugar in large saucepan over medium heat until mixtureis nearly smooth; remove from heat. Stir in cereal until coated.Quickly press cereal mixture onto bottom of prepared pan; setaside.
  • Combine butter, milk and pudding mix inlarge bowl until well combined. Gradually stir in powdered sugaruntil smooth. Spread pudding mixture evenly over cereal mixture.
  • Heat morsels and remaining peanut butterin medium saucepan over low heat until melted and almost smooth.Spread chocolate mixture over pudding mixture. Refrigerate forabout 1 hour or until chocolate layer is set. Cover; refrigeratefor an additional 4 hours or until firm. Cut into bars.

    Makes 5 dozen or 60 bars.

    Tip: Bars can be frozen for longer storage.
