Superior Saucepan Brownies recipe

Chewy, chocolatey and fudgey, these superiorbrownies are quickly and easily stirred up in a saucepan, spreadinto a baking pan and baked.

Recipe: Superior SaucepanBrownies

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
4 large eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

  • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Greasea 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
  • In small bowl combine flour, salt andbaking soda; set aside.
  • Melt butter in medium saucepan over lowheat. Add sugar and cocoa; stir to blend. Remove from heat andquickly stir in eggs.
  • Stir flour mixture into chocolate mixture.Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Spread into prepared pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until browniesbegin to pull away from sides of pan and begin to crack slightly;do not underbake.
  • Cool completely before cutting into bars.

    Makes 24 to 36 brownies.
