Sugar Plums recipe
Visions of sugar-plums danced in theirheads…don’t just dream about the sweet treats, enjoy them forreal!
Recipe: Sugar Plums
2 cups whole almonds
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup finely chopped dried apricots
1 cup finely chopped pitted dates
1 cup powdered sugar
Makes about 36 sugar plums.
Cooking Tip: Use of a food processor helpsmake preparation simple and much quicker.

This was delicious. I cut the plums in half, stoned them and baked the cut-side down. Instead of brushing with egg white one could also just keep the plums slightly wet after washing them, sugar and cinnamon will still stick. So simple but really good Love the new look or think we’ve missed the mark? We want to hear your thoughts – good and bad – to make sure we make the new website as useful as possible.
