Strawberry Thumbprints.

Strawberry Thumbprint Cookies are an eleganttreat. Use these for desserts, snacks and parties. Make additionalvariations by using other types of marmalades.

Recipe: Strawberry Thumbprints

3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened1 (14-ounce) can NESTL LA LECHERASweetened Condensed Milk2 large egg yolks3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted1 cup finely chopped walnuts3/4 cup strawberry marmalade

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • Beat butter and sweetened condensed milkin large mixer bowl until creamy. Add egg yolks; beat until smooth.Gradually beat in flour. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll inchopped nuts. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Make indentationin center of each cookie with thumb. Fill each indentation withabout 1/4 teaspoon marmalade.
  • Bake for 15 to 16 minutes or until edgesare lightly browned. Let stand for 1 minute; remove to wire racksto cool completely.

    Makes 60 (5 dozen) cookies.

    I do not think I have ever made a thumbprint recipe that had egg which is why I was like what are these recipes lol. Can you please tell me why?
