Strawberry Sorbet recipe

Strawberry Sorbet.A light refreshing treat for a hot summerday. Luscious strawberry flavor in every bite.

Recipe: Strawberry Sorbet

1 (10-ounce) package frozen sliced CaliforniaStrawberries in syrup, thawed
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • In small saucepan combine strawberries,water and sugar. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.Cool to room temperature.
  • In blender or food processor fitted withmetal blade combine strawberry mixture, liqueur and lemon juice;blend until smooth.
  • Pour into shallow pan; freeze until firmabout 1-inch around edges. Beat smooth. Return to freezer, freezefirm.

    Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
