Star of David Chocolate Cookies recipe

Star of David Chocolate Cookies.

These special chocolate cookies are sureto become a holiday favorite! Add a few drops of food coloringto the frosting for a festive touch.

Recipe: Star of David ChocolateCookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (16-ounce) package prepared vanilla frosting

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine flour, cocoa and salt in smallbowl. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowluntil creamy. Gradually beat in cocoa mixture. Shape dough intotwo balls.
  • Roll each ball of dough between two sheetswaxed paper to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch star-shapedcookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets; pierce withfork.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set.Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks tocool completely. Decorate with frosting.

    Makes 3 dozen.
