Spinach and Feta Appetizers recipe

Crisp little puff pastry packets filledwith feta and mozzarella cheeses and spinach.

Recipe: Spinach and FetaAppetizers

1 cup (4 ounces) crumbled Wisconsin Fetacheese
1 cup finely chopped spinach
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup chopped scallions
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
12 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
6 tablespoons butter, melted

  • Combine Feta cheese, spinach, Mozzarellacheese, parsley, scallions and seasonings; mix lightly.
  • For each appetizer, fold each phyllo sheetin half vertically. Place 2 heaping tablespoons Feta cheese mixtureat base of dough. Fold into triangle shape like a flag. Brushwith butter.
  • Place on cookie sheet; bake at 375°F(190°C) for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
