Spicy Meatballs recipe

You can’t go wrong with these simple meatballs.Serve them with a salad, in a sandwich or with the sauce of choice.

Recipe: Spicy Meatballs

1 pound lean ground beef
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef,mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt, garlic powder andhot pepper sauce.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls and place on aroasting rack coated with vegetable cooking spray. Place therack in a shallow roasting pan and broil 3 to 5 minutes on eachside, or until done.

    Makes 4 servings.

    Cooking Tips:

    • If preferred, meatballs can be cookedin a large frying pan on top of the stove. Cook over medium-highheat, turning the pan to brown all sides; Cook until meatballsare cooked through, about 10 minutes.
    • Serve as an hors d’oeuvres on toothpickswith a sweet-and-sour sauce, or serve as a main dish over pasta.
