Speedy and easy thanks to a package ofdevil’s food cake mix, these yummy chocolate cookie bars havea sweet peanut butter and marshmallow filling and a chocolatecrumb topping.
Recipe: Speedy Little DevilBars
1/2 cup butter, chilled 1 (18.25-ounce) package devil’s food cake mix 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Using an electric mixer, mix butter intocake mix until pea-size crumbs form, about 3 minutes. Remove1 1/2 cups and set aside. Spread remaining crumbs in the bottomof an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Gently press crumbs into pancovering the entire surface.
In a separate bowl, combine peanut butterand marshmallow creme; mix well.
In small batches, spread peanut buttermixture over entire surface of crumbs. Top with reserved crumbs.Bake for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
Makes 16 bars.
