Spanish-Style Garlic Sauce recipe

Serve this Spanish-style garlic sauce withcooked shrimp.

Recipe: Spanish-Style GarlicSauce

10 cloves garlic, crushed
10 slices wheat bread, crusts removed
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons water

  • Combine garlic, bread, olive oil and vinegarin a large bowl; allow to soften for 1 hour.
  • Blend bread mixture with electric mixeruntil smooth; do not use a food processor as it will over-process.Stir in lemon juice; then, while mixer is running, slowly addenough water to make a thick yet fluffy sauce. Serve at roomtemperature or refrigerate.

    Makes about 2 cups.
