Spaghetti and Savory Meatballs.

A good basic recipe for ground beef meatballs.Although this recipe suggests ready-made spaghetti sauce, pleasedo substitute with your own homemade sauce if you prefer.

Recipe: Spaghetti & SavoryMeatballs

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepperSpaghetti:1 (26 to 30-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
8 ounces uncooked spaghetti, cooked
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • For Meatballs: Heat oven to 350°F(175°C).
  • Combine meatball ingredients in largebowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into twelve 2-inchmeatballs. Place on rack in broiler pan.
  • Bake in 350°F oven 25 to 30 minutesto medium (160°F) doneness, until no longer pink in centerand juices show no pink color.
  • For Spaghetti: Combine meatballs and spaghettisauce in large saucepan; heat through, stirring occasionally.Serve over cooked spaghetti pasta; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
