A quick and easy shrimp and okra gumboserved over cooked rice.
Recipe: Shrimp Gumbo
2 cups sliced okra
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2/3 cup chopped green onions
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups water
1 cup seeded and chopped tomato
2 bay leaves
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauceHot cooked rice for accompaniment
