Recipe: Sensibly DeliciousFudgy Chocolate Brownies

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour1/4 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt3/4 cup SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking*1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine,melted4 (1-ounce) packets NESTL ®TOLL HOUSE® CHOCO BAKE® Pre-Melted Unsweetened ChocolateFlavor2 large eggs2 tablespoons water1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt insmall bowl. Stir in SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking, butter,CHOCO BAKE, eggs, water and vanilla extract vigorously in largebowl. Stir in flour mixture . Stir in nuts. Spread into preparedbaking pan.
  • Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until woodenpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completelyin pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

    Makes 24 brownies.

My homemade brownie recipes uses 3 eggs, which give the brownies a tight crumb and melt-in-your-mouth tender, fudgy texture. Because I m completely out of my chocolate-obsessed mind, I like to add chocolate chips or chunks to the brownie batter. There is always room for more chocolate, right?
