Scrumptious Crunch Cookies recipe

Crispy rice cereal adds a scrumptious crunchto these chocolate chip cookies.

Recipe: Scrumptious CrunchCookies

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup (6 ounces) package semisweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugarwith electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour andbaking soda; mix well.
  • Stir in cereal and chocolate chips
  • Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of dough, 2-inchesapart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.Remove from baking sheets to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Store in tightly covered container atroom temperature.

    Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
