Saut ed Shrimp with Garlic and White Wine recipe

This heavenly combination of shrimp, garlicand wine can be paired with any number of sides. It’s especiallygood with rice pilaf or pasta. Or serve it with crusty breadand a fresh green salad for a simple yet elegant dinner.

Recipe: Saut ed Shrimpwith Garlic and White Wine

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 shallots, chopped
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley

  • Heat oil in a large, nonstick skilletover medium-high heat. Add shallots and red pepper flakes andsaut for 1 minute.
  • Add garlic and continue cooking untilgarlic turns pale golden.
  • Place shrimp in pan and season with saltand pepper. Saut until just pink, about 3 minutes.
  • Add wine and parsley to pan and bringto a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute to concentrateflavors. Serve immediately.
