Salsa Cruda (Raw Sauce) recipe

A fresh sauce that goes great with grilledfoods or used as a dip with tortilla chips.

Recipe: Salsa Cruda (RawSauce)

3 large ripe tomatoes, chopped2 to 3 garlic cloves, finely minced4 green onions, sliced2 tablespoons diced red onion3 serrano or jalapeno chilies, diced2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves(no stems)1/2 teaspoon salt2 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • Combine all ingredients in non-reactivebowl, mixing well.
  • Store unused portion in a covered containerin the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

    Makes 4 cups.

    Note: For a salsa similar to the commercialkind, puree half the prepared salsa in a food processor or blenderand combine with the remaining salsa.
