Recipe: Quiche with WildRice
1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
1 cup cooked wild rice
1/3 cup chopped cooked ham, sausage or bacon
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3/4 cup light cream or milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
Freshly ground pepper to taste1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried
Makes 6 servings.
