Pumpkin Pie – Tuckers recipe

Tucker’s traditional homemade pumpkin pie.

Recipe: Pumpkin Pie – Tuckers

2 large eggs
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Combine eggs, pumpkin, sugar, salt, cinnamon,ginger, cloves and evaporated milk, mixing well.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell then bakefor 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C)and bake an additional 40 to 50 minutes, or until the centeris set. Cool.

    Makes 8 servings.

    This was a nice pumpkin pie, however I added a little corn starch to make it thick as a store bought pie would be. In my opinion home made pumpkin pies tend to be a little softer or runny. Was this helpful?
