Pesto Bread recipe

A white yeast bread with an Italian flair,made with ready-made basil pesto, pine nuts and white wine. Arecipe for bread machines.

Recipe: Pesto Bread

1 large egg
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup basil pesto sauce
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons water
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup pine nuts

  • Place all the ingredients except the pinenuts in the machine according to manufacturers directions.
  • Set for sweet bread and press start. Whenthe beeper sounds, add the pine nuts.

    Makes one (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
