Peppermint Crunchies recipe

The crispy texture and flavor of choppedpeppermint candy contrasts with the creaminess of chocolate fudgein these sweet treats. This confection will leave breathless,but with a chocolaty aftertaste in your mouth!

Recipe: Peppermint Crunchies

1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chopped peppermint candy
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

  • Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan withwax paper; set aside.
  • Combine evaporated milk, sugar and cornsyrup in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.Cook for 2 minutes; remove from heat.
  • Add chocolate chips; stir until melted.Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in nuts, candy and extract. Dropby tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Let stand until firm.

    Makes 24 pieces.
