Pear, Apple and Cranberry Cobbler recipe

Pear, Apple and Cranberry Crisp.

More aptly called a ‘crisp’ with its crumbtopping, this wholesome three-fruit dessert is perfected witha dollop of sweetened whipped cream.

Recipe: Pear, Apple and CranberryCobbler

l/2 cup packed brown sugar
l/2 cup granulated sugar
l cup all-purpose flour
l/2 cup (l stick) butter, cut into small pieces
l/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
l/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
l cup walnut piecesFilling:
2 (15-ounce) cans pear slices in juice, drained
l (21-ounce) can spiced apple pie filling
l (16-ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce

  • To prepare topping, combine all toppingingredients, except walnuts, in food processor container. Pulseon and off until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add walnutsand pulse 3 to 4 times to chop nuts; set aside.
  • In large bowl, combine filling ingredients;pour into l3 x 9-inch baking pan. Cover evenly with topping mixture.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 to40 minutes, or until topping is browned. Cool slightly beforeserving.

    “Everyone loved this recipe-I liked the tartness of the cranberries and thought adding the pears with the apples made a great combination. I served this at my bridge club with a small scoop of vanilla icecream.”
