Peanut Butter Cake with Frosting recipe

A yummy, ‘cake-mix-easy’ peanut buttercake with peanut butter frosting.

Recipe: Peanut Butter Cakewith Frosting

Cake:1 (18.25-ounce) package butter cake mix1/2 cup smooth peanut butter1/2 cup butter, softened2/3 cup water4 large eggsPeanut Butter Frosting:4 cups powdered sugar1/3 cup milk1 cup peanut butter1/2 cup butter, softened

  • For Cake: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.Set aside.
  • For cake, cream together peanut butterand butter until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at time mixingwell after each one. Add cake mix alternately withthe water; stirring until just combined. Pour batter into preparedpans.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until woodenpick inserted in center comes out clean.Allow cakes to cool in pan for 10 minutes on wire rack; turnout onto rack to cool completely. Frost whencool.
  • For Peanut Butter Frosting: With an electricmixer, cream together peanut butter and butter until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar. Slowlyadd milk until frosting is at desiredspreading consistency.

    Make one 2-layer (9-inch) cake.
