Peanut Butter Brownie Squares recipe

This is a microwave recipe for making browniesusing a mix with a peanut butter make-over.

Recipe: Peanut Butter BrownieSquares

1 (about 22-ounce) package fudge browniemix
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons butter

  • Prepare fudge brownie mix according tothe package directions. This may require up to 3 eggs and 1/3cup oil. Spread in the prepared pan. Microwave on MEDIUM for12 minutes, or until set, turning twice.
  • In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, creamypeanut butter, and milk. Spread over the warm brownies.
  • In a plastic bag, combine semisweet chocolatechips and butter. Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. Knead inthe bag until smooth (reheat if necessary). Cut a hole in thebottom and drizzle over the brownie.

    Makes 16 squares.

    Freezing instructions are in the recipe. This recipe fits nicely in a 9-inch square baking pan. If using 8 inch, your brownies may or may not overflow. They would need a few extra minutes to bake as well. Hi Laura. No, there is nothing missing from the filling recipe as written. Are you using runny peanut butter? You may try leaving out the milk if you try again.
