Party Provolone Rounds.

This simple, yet delicious appetizer isa snap to make.

Recipe: Party Provolone Rounds

12 slices party rye bread
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 teaspoons chopped chives
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
12 slices (1 ounce each) Wisconsin Provolone cheese
6 cherry tomatoes, cut in half crosswise

  • Arrange bread on baking sheet; toast oneside under broiler.
  • Combine butter, chives and oregano; spreadon untoasted side of bread.
  • Return to broiler 1 to 2 minutes or untillightly browned.
  • Cut each provolone slice with a 2 inch-diameterscalloped cutter. Cut out the center of each piece with a 1 inchround cutter. Place a scalloped piece on each bread slice. Placetomato half, cut side up, in cut-out center of scalloped cheesepiece.
  • Broil until cheese is slightly melted.

    Makes 12 servings.
