Ortega Chicken Fajitas recipe

Chicken Fajitas.

Chicken fajitas make an excellent quickdinner. Serve with a fresh green salad to complete the meal.

Recipe: Ortega Chicken Fajitas

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into thinstrips
1 cup quartered, sliced onion
1 cup red and green bell pepper strips
1 package ORTEGA® Taco Seasoning Mix
1/3 cup water
8 (6-inch) fajita-size flour tortillas, warmedAdditional ingredient suggestions: choppedtomatoes, sliced avocado, shredded cheese, salsa and choppedfresh cilantro

  • Heat vegetable oil in large skillet overmedium-high heat. Add chicken; cook for 4 to 5 minutes or untilno longer pink. Add onion and bell pepper; cook, stirring occasionally,for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Stir in seasoning mix and water. Bringto a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for2 to 3 minutes or until mixture thickens.
  • Spoon chicken mixture evenly over tortillas;fold in half. Serve with additional ingredient suggestions
