Orange Eggnog recipe

This orange eggnog is uncooked…beforeproceeding with this recipe, please see note below regardingthe use of raw eggs in foods not cooked.

Recipe: Orange Eggnog

4 large fresh eggs*, beaten or1 (8-ounce) carton egg substitute
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups cold milk
1 cup cold orange juice
3 tablespoons rum extract
1 pint vanilla yogurt
Freshly grated orange peel

  • In a large bowl, combine eggs oregg substitute, sugar and spices; whisk well to dissolve sugar.
  • Whisk in milk, orange juice, vanilla extractand yogurt.
  • Serve in punch cups and garnish with orangepeel.

    Makes 8 servings.

    Note: Please exercise caution when usingraw eggs in prepared food that is uncooked (see FoodSafety). We suggest using a pasteurized egg product for thisrecipe.
