These flavorful and tasty cookies by JenniferAppel, New York baker and owner of Buttercup Bake Shop, willdefinitely be a crowd pleaser. With a hint of orange and vanilla,these little cookies will serve as a refreshing treat any timeof day!
Recipe: Orange Chip Cookies
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar or more
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 cup (6 ounces) NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier WhiteMorsels
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt intosmall bowl. Beat butter, granulated and brown sugars in largemixer bowl until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add egg; mix well.Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in morsels and orange zest.Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightgolden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove towire racks to cool completely.Makes 3 dozen.
