One-Pan Chocolate Frosting.

This satiny-smooth and rich-tasting homemadechocolate frosting requires just one pan and very little timeand effort to make.

Recipe: One-Pan ChocolateFrosting

4 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened bakingchocolate2 tablespoons butter2 teaspoons vanilla extract4 cups powdered sugar2/3 cup milk

  • Melt chocolate squares and butter in asaucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove and coolto room temperature.
  • Stir in vanilla, then add the powderedsugar and milk, beating on low just until powdered sugar is incorporated,then increase speed to high and beat until frosting has attaineddesired spreading consistency.
  • Use frosting immediately.

    Frosts and fills an 8 or 9-inch layer cake,or generously frosts 1 (13 x 9-inch) cake, or up to 36 cupcakes.
