Oatmeal Crunch Cookies.

leftover holiday candy? No problem. Madewith chopped candy bars, these easy-to-make oatmeal cookies offera deliciously unique way to enjoy some of your favorite chocolatebars.

Recipe: Oatmeal Crunch Cookies

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons whole-wheat orall-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine,softened1/3 cup granulated sugar1/3 cup packed brown sugar1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 large egg3/4 cup old-fashioned oats8 Fun Size NESTL CRUNCH CandyBars*, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup total)

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt insmall bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanillaextract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in egg; graduallybeat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and chopped candy bars. Dropby rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 12 minutes. Cool on bakingsheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

    Makes 24 (2 dozen) cookies.

    * 2 (1.55 ounces each) NESTL CRUNCHCandy Bars may be used in place of Fun Size bars.

    these were called Oatmeal Favorites back in the day, nice to see the recipe. A bit of history, they go back to the 1800 s ??
