Recipe: Oat Drop Biscuits
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick or old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Makes about 16 biscuits.
Cooks Tip: No buttermilk on hand?Substitute it by placing 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons whitevinegar in a measuring cup and adding milk to measure 1 1/2 cups.Let set for a minute and proceed with recipe.
