Delicious, vanilla cheesecake with a nutcrust and topped with cherry pie filling.
Recipe: Nutty Northwest CheesecakeSupreme
1 1/2 cups finely chopped nuts
Combine finely chopped nuts, 2 tablespoonssugar, and melted butter. Press onto the bottom of a 9-inch springformpan. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine softened cream cheese,1 cup sugar, and flour; mixing at medium speed with an electricmixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing wellafter each addition. Blend in sour cream and vanilla; pour overthe crust.
Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes.Reduce the temperature to 250°F (120°C) and continuebaking for 1 hour.
Loosen the cake from the rim and coolbefore removing. Chill.
Top with cherry pie filling just beforeserving.

3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
