Nutty Banana Bread recipe

A moist and tasty, reduced calorie bananabread with applesauce and pecans.

Recipe: Nutty Banana Bread

2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup applesauce
1 1/4 cups mashed bananas
1 cup SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).Spray one 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stickspray coating.
  • In a large bowl, blend together the eggs,buttermilk, applesauce, and bananas.
  • Sift together the SPLENDA® GranulatedSweetener, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix into banana mixture.Stir in pecans. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake 1 hour, or until a cake tester insertedin the center comes out clean.

    Makes 12 servings. Serving Size: 1 (3/4inch) slice
