Normandy Sauce recipe

Recipe: Normandy Sauce

3 tablespoons butter3 tablespoons all-purpose flour2 cups water2 teaspoons Ham Redi-Base4 tablespoon applejack1/2 cup peeled and diced apple2 tablespoons heavy creamChopped fresh parsley for garnish

  • Melt butter in saucepan and add flourto form a roux. Slowly whisk in water and Redi-Base to form asmooth sauce.
  • Add apples and cook over medium heat untiltender.
  • Add applejack and cook 1 minute more.
  • Remove from heat and add the cream. Servegarnished with parsley.

    Makes 2 1/2 cups.
