Newburg Sauce recipe

Another delicious recipe brought to youby Redi-Base, “The Professional Soup Base For The Home Cook”.This is the same sauce you enjoy at your favorite restaurant.Excellent with seafood and chicken dishes.

Recipe: Newburg Sauce

2 tablespoons butter2 tablespoons all-purpose flour2 cups water2 teaspoons Seafood Redi-Base1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seafood Seasoning1 teaspoon paprika1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce2 tablespoons dry sherry2 tablespoons heavy cream

  • Melt butter in saucepan and add flourto form a roux. Slowly whisk in water and Redi-Base until blended.
  • Add old Bay Seasoning, paprika and Worcestershiresauce. Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add sherry and cream.Serve.

    Makes 2 1/2 cups.
