Never-Fail Nut Fudge recipe

This recipe is a must for sweet-cravers.It can be made before dinner, chilled and ready to serve fordessert. Experiment with different types of nuts, and you haveany number of variations to sample.

Recipe: Never-Fail Nut Fudge

1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts, (any kind)

  • Butter a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan; set aside.
  • Combine powdered sugar, unsweetened bakingcocoa, butter, milk, vanilla and salt in the top of a doubleboiler. Place over simmering water; cook, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and beat until mixtureloses its gloss. Stir in nuts. Spread in prepared pan; cool completelybefore cutting into small pieces.

    Makes 18 pieces.
