Nescaf Ice Cake recipe

This coffee-flavored cake with chocolatefrosting is a breeze to throw together. You won’t believe howeasy a cake from scratch can be.

Recipe: Nescaf IceCake

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups granulated sugar – divided use
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened – divided use
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups Chocolate Mocha Flavor NESCAF ICE JAVA IcedCoffee Syrup
1/3 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet ChocolateMorsels

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and saltin small bowl. Place 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup (1 stick) butterin large mixer bowl; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time,mixing after each addition. Stir in flour mixture and Nescafsyrup. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until wooden pickinserted in center comes out almost clean. Remove to wire rack;frost immediately. Cool completely at room temperature beforeserving.
  • For Frosting: Place remaining sugar, remainingbutter and cream in small saucepan. Heat, stirring frequently,over medium heat until boiling. Boil for 1 minute or until sugaris dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in morsels. Stir until morselsare melted and frosting is smooth. Pour immediately over hotcake.

    Makes 15 servings.
