Recipe: Mom’s ShortbreadCookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugarDash salt

  • Mix all ingredients together until wellmixed. Divide mixture in half. Roll into two 1 1/2-inch diameterrolls. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate.
  • Slice into approximately 1/4-inch thickrounds. Place on cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches apart.
  • Bake on lower level of a 375°F (190°C)oven for 10 minutes and then transfer to the upper level for10 minutes.

    Makes 20 to 30 cookies.
